I pulled a Moses up in Moab with a sack of silly shrooms, I stood on top a sandy cliff just to give myself some rules and then Eric came around and said "we're all just animals" and when I looked down at my hands I saw a pair of dusty paws and so crawled like a hippie-gypsy song.

The first time that I got high I realized that I was God, I didn't need no old man Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John. I was sick of feeling sorry for the sake of feeling safe; working too hard everyday to buy that white picked cage, and so I pray because I know I can't escape.

I'm praying, "I will be who you need me to be, if you can be who I need you to be."

I drank a pint of black coffee, yeah I was really feeling dark. Now where's my goddamn pin I got a spark of something smart; now I'm leaking, yeah I'm leaking. Where's that pin?

Because I like to be a poet but I love to dance all night and the thing about dancing is you ain't got room to write and the thing about writing is you ain't got time to live and living's only worth however much you're sharing, so now I'm dancing and I'm prancing and my friends are all in step.
